Jesus, refresh our prayer life for America

Friends, here’s some elevated perspective from Intercessors for America:

In the flood of news and events, it can be tough to hear God’s voice. With so much going on, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to respond. Here are three ways you can take action right now:

1. Seek Him first. Invest extra time in stillness and ask God to speak to you. He will help you focus on the calling He has for you in this season. "Be still (Hebrew—let go, relax), and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46.10 ESV). Brian—stay grounded and oriented.

2. Rebuild what's right in front of you. Just like the Israelites rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem, start with the part right in front of you. Your community and state need your prayers as well as the nation. Brian—your prayer closet has zero time-space limits.

3. Stand in victory! Now more than ever, the Body of Christ is needed. Isaiah 60:1-2 states that the darkness we see is no match for the light of Christ shining via His people. Brian—you are native-born to the Light, just turn the switch on and displace darkness. “Walk as children of Light [live as those who are native-born to the Light].” (Ephesians 5.8 Amplified)

⭐️ Father, we ground and reorient our faith in you as a person.

⭐️ We joyfully receive and own our sphere of influence in faith.

⭐️ Jesus, we radiate your displacing light in our prayer and proclamation.

Father, we believe in our heart that we have received, and we count it done in faith. We are grateful. Amen — may it be established.

Current American prayer focus

🦅 Father, we call on your protection over all political candidates, especially former President Trump, because of the 2 assassination attempts on his life this political season.

🦅 Pray for the integrity of national, state, and local elections. Insist in faith that the election will occur this fall and that nothing will stop it. Pray over the aftermath of the election. Rise in faith against political violence.

🦅 Steadfastly pray that God will sway the judgment of the American body politic and that his design will be realized on American soil as it is in heaven.
