Cape Henry Memorial Cross — granite cross erected in 1935 by the National Society Daughters of the American Colonists, in memory of the original wooden cross.
In the previous newsletter we prayed the language of a Kingdom Covenant made in 1607 on the Atlantic shore of what would become the colony of Virginia.
The leaders of the Virginia Company in England had one leading instruction for the expedition: bring a seven-foot rough-hewn oak cross across the Atlantic.
Upon their arrival in 1607, Anglican minister Robert Hunt guided the group to the wind-swept shore, where they erected the cross.
After the prayer (see previous newsletter online), they read the words of David in Psalm 22.27-28.
Later in 1781, Americans witnessed the pivotal naval clash of the Revolutionary War from these sand dunes.
America's French allies triumphed over the British fleet off the shore, paving the way for General George Washington's decisive victory at Yorktown.
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before You. For the kingdom is the Lord’s, and He rules over the nations.
There's otherworldly authority in decreeing and praying Scripture out loud in faith!

🙏 Heavenly Father, we praise you that the nations belong to you, and that all the ENDS OF THE WORLD WILL ULTIMATELY REMEMBER YOU and turn to you as Lord.
🙏 Father, ALL THE NATIONS WILL WORSHIP BEFORE YOU. We anticipate the Millennium when Christ will reign as King on the earth from Jerusalem. And we thank you that the nations will worship You in the New Heavens & New Earth. Revelation 21.24-26, Revelation 22.2
🙏 THE KINGDOM IS THE LORD’S! Yours is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory — may your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Christ is King! Matthew 6.9-13
